UT Learning Theories Class' Learning Story

Stories

We’re three students majoring in education at the University of Tampa. This semester we are enrolled in “Introduction to Learning Theories.” Through out the semester we’ve learned many different teaching techniques and have reached conclusions about which is the most effective. Teaching class through lecture is not always necessarily the best method. Through our experience in observation of other teachers, we have learned that group projects and class interaction are two of the many effective ways to teach and reach students in education. With the advanced technology available to us today, we should be using as many resources as are available to us. Through being in this class, we have all learned that teaching isn’t just a give and take relationship. Teaching should be a collaborative effort for everyone to learn.
