My most effective teacher was my Senior English teacher. What made him so great as a teacher was his unique personality. He was able to have fun with the students while at the same time teaching them throughout the class. Since this was an inner city school lots of kids were more interested in goofing around then learning. So he incorporated visual aspects of learning by showing films on current events and doing projects on family history. He was able to teach us history and current events of what is going on in the world rather than have us take standardized tests. He was able to keep us motivated mentally to learn in the classroom and mainly keep us having fun so we enjoyed going to class. He was in touch with students as well if anyone had a problem in or out of school they could comfortably come to him and have the dilemma taken care of. He opened my eyes to teaching and inspired me to become a teacher.
