my Third grade teacher Ms. Hudson influenced me greatly. She taught us about the audobon society and about the DDT that was killing birds as they used to spray it from planes over crops before this became illegal. She taught me about being politically active and helped me write to my congressman to plea for changes in legislation and banning this practice of using ddt. I got an answer back from my congressman and I have never forgot how empowering this felt. She also taught us love of the Arts, taking our class to see the Nutcracker, and in class performances of Shakespear Plays. I played the part of aerial in Midsummer Nights Dream. Ms. Hudson showed me the world from the classroom and I will never forget her. I have a Bachelors degree in Political Science and am still working on becoming a teacher of English Language Arts.
